Welcome to the website for the Engineering Council Service Committee, a group of individuals dedicated to organizing service and philanthropic events for students, societies, and the College of Engineering.


Bowl for Kids Sake

Bowl for Kids Sake 2009 is coming soon! Come out and support Champaign County's Littles and have a great time doing it! Grab 6 friends, some costumes and create a team. This years theme is Role Models so we are encouraging each team to dress up as their favorite role models for the bowl, and afterward stick around for dinner and Role Models the movie.
Why you should sign up/With your donation you receive:

  • A Bowl for Kids Sake T-Shirt (see attachment)
  • Shoe Rentals and an Event Bowling Lane (space is limited)
  • Free Pizza Dinner
  • Free Screening of Role Models
  • A Raffle Ticket for over 30 Gift Cards to Green Street Businesses
  • A chance to win the EC Bowl Traveling Trophy
  • A warm fuzzy feeling inside
Teams are encouraged to raise $225 for registration to ensure support for local Littles. Register now and commit to a great cause and a fantastic night!

EC Blood Drive

Its never too early to sign up to give the ultimate gift this Holiday Season! Engineering Council will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on November 10th and by registering now, you will SAVE 2 LIVES IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES. Blood is in constant need, please consider:

1. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
2. More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day.
3. One out of every 10 people admitted in a hospital needs blood.
4. More than 1 million new people are diagnosed with cancer each year.
Many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment.
5. A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood.
